Why We Started

What started as a hobby in 2014 quickly became a passion. Starting with friends motorcycle parts and growing into car parts, custom furniture, and a long list of miscellaneous objects. What was once a simple job, we started noticing no one did custom powder. This was just the beginning.

People started coming in asking for custom colors, can you do this, can you do that part? The work grew, the quality never diminished. We got a bigger oven, a better spray gun, more tools to improve the quality we were putting out into the streets.

The jobs got more and more complex too.

Powder Coating?

Powder coating is a type of coating that is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder. Unlike conventional liquid paint which is delivered via an evaporating solvent, powder coating is typically applied electrostatically and then cured under heat or with ultraviolet light. The powder may be a thermoplastic or a thermoset polymer. It is usually used to create a hard finish that is tougher than conventional paint. Powder coating is mainly used for coating of metals, such as household appliances, aluminium extrusions, drum hardware, automobiles, and bicycle frames.

Why Powder Coat? Why Not Just Paint?

Whether you’re considering powder coating for your project or already have an object that was previously powder coated, you’re probably wondering how long powder coating lasts. Powder coating lasts about 15-20 years, depending on the powder used and the pre-treatment. Not only does powder coating last a long time, but it’s also highly durable and low maintenance. This durability and longevity are why powder coating is a better option over wet paint or plating.

When you bring your products to us we’ll take care of it from the very first steps in the process to final delivery. Lead times vary and the condition of the pieces when we get them plays a big roll.
